Pluck that Bird, and Stick the Fork In . . . Deep!

OK, a little more drama than we would have liked against the 1-7 Jets, but we should all be happy about the way we kept fighting all afternoon.  A heavy dose of Clinton Portis, with a Shaun Suisham on top, pulled out the “W” on the road and keeps us right in the thick of things for the second weekend in November . . . it’s been a while since we could say that.  I saw a couple of plays, especially the “quick-fake-to-the-right-side-and-trick-handoff” to Portis up the middle, that reminded me of the fabled 700-page playbook of Al Saunders.  I love Coach Gibbs, but it sure would be nice to see a full 60 minutes of Al Saunders Football.  It just seems like we get bits and pieces of it here and there . . . and I think that is what is contributing to Jason Campbell’s somewhat fragmented performance as of late.

This week we have a primo opportunity to hurt a Division Rival . . . badly.  The Eagles come to FedEx field with their feathers ruffled after a nationally-televised blowout, and our Redskins have the chance to pull all those feathers off and effectively end Philadelphia’s chance at postseason play with a victory.  No team is coming back from four division losses, and their record won’t even be sniffing at a Wild Card. The Giants and the Cowboys will be battling later in the day, so we can pick up a full game on one of them with a win.  We have the game plan to beat these guys - - we have already proven that the second week of the season.

We just need to execute for 60 minutes . . . No Let Up . . . No Mercy!

HAIL!                                                                                                                                           ..................................................................................John Priddy

If you go to this web site, www.LetsSayThanks.com, you can pick out a Thank You Card, Xerox will print it, and it will be sent to a soldier who is currently serving in Iraq.  You cannot pick who gets it, but it will go to some member of the Armed Services.

How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send at least one card!!!  This is a great idea and a great site!  Please, EVERYONE, send a card!  It is FREE, and it only takes a second.

It doesn't matter whether you are for or against the war ~ ~ our guys and gals over there need to know we support them . . .
