R O B B E R Y ! ! ! ! !

The Washington Redskins returned from Florida Sunday night after being robbed of a victory by two criminal elements in Tampa‘s Raymond James StadiuM . . . the Referees for allowing the obvious HOMER call to stand on Alstott’s 2-point ATTEMPT at the end of the game . . . and the game-long thievery of Walt Harris’ masquerade as an NFL Cornerback. Coach Gibbs should NOT have backed down in his criticism of the officials for that BLATANTLY bad call . . . sometimes you have to stand up for what’s right, and this was one of those times. Alstott was D-O-W-N before the goal line - - period! Harris, on the other hand, was never even on the field . . . getting burned repeatedly and letting a spare like Edell Shepherd ~ yes, you heard that right . . . a Man named EDELL ~ get behind him for the last touchdown the Bucs would need. The Run Defense was great this week, stuffing both Cadillac and Pittman all day, but the pass defense was brutally bad, allowing Chris Simms to shred them for 3 touchdowns. And with Randy Moss, Jerry Porter and Kerry Collins coming to FedEx Field next week, this is a problem that Coach Williams had better have a quick solution for. The offense, while putting up big numbers, failed when the chips were down, needing a dump off to Cooley late to pick up the game killing first down . . . instead, they played right into Tampa’s hands, running Portis for no gain and giving the Bucs the chance they needed. So . . . we find ourselves behind both the Giants and Cowboys. We are still in good shape, but we cannot let anymore winnable games get away!

BURGUNDY & GOLD FANTASY LEAGUE UPDATE ~ Week #10
With just three weeks left before the playoffs, there is only one team that has been mathematically eliminated ~ the hapless Aquabats, who were euthanized by Division leader Calley’s Allstars, who overcame Carson Palmer’s bye week with a monster game by Shaun Alexander.

TDsnDC got a crucial victory over the Redskins to keep faint hope alive. Each of those teams has one more divisional game left ~ TDsnDC against the Aquabats week 12, and the Redskins against Calley's Allstarts on the last week of the regular season. Seems a tougher road for the Redskins, who also has to face Gold Leader 70-Chip, and the only team to beat Calley's Allstars this year, Jerry’s 421. That is the only drama left in the Burgundy Division, where Calley's Allstars has locked up the first round bye, and the Fighting Hellfish have locked up one of the Wildcards, even after losing a squeaker to Primetime this past weekend on the “Needs to be amputated” arm of Kelly Holcomb.

The Gold Division is WIDE open, with no one eliminated and mathematically no one having clinched a spot. Unsung Heroes made that variety possible by crushing 70-Chip this past weekend on the strength of the Jaguars' defense, blanketing the Ravens in the high score game of the week. Game Over suffered through Julius Jones' part-time performance in the Cowboys win to fall to Edgerrin James and Jerry’s 421.

Burgundy Division Gold Division
Calley’s Allstars 9 - 1 70 Chip 7 - 3
Hellfish 6 - 4 Unsung Heroes 6 - 4
The Redskins 5 - 5 Game Over 5 - 5
TDsnDC 2 - 8 Jerry’s 421 5 - 5
The Aquabats 1 - 9 Primetime 4 - 6

This Weeks Matchups
Jerry’s 421 -vs- The Aquabats
Game Over -vs- Calley’s Allstars
Unsung Heroes -vs- Hellfish
70Chip -vs- The Redskins
Primetime -vs- TDsnDC
