Thanks Santa . . . just what I expected . . . another lump of coal!

Well, again the walk back to the cars at Texas Stadium was painful! For all who made the pilgrimage, you have my sympathies . . . I have been there! I can't fault Sean Taylor for biting on the Keyshawn move as he had been ALL they had in the passing game all day. Was it just me or did watching Ladell Betts run remind you of old Joe Gibbs teams?

Anyway, the season comes to an end this Sunday as the underachieving Vikings come to FedEx Field, and the long wasteland known as the "offseason" begins. The Vikings are still fighting for their playoff lives, so it would be nice to have SOME bearing on the playoffs. The game is an early kickoff, so let's send the 2004 season out with a victory at Austin Avenue! ........................................................John Priddy

BURGUNDY & GOLD FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE UPDATE
* * SUPER BOWL * *
And then there was one . . .
Unsung Heroes (John Domin, owner) ~vs~ Calley's Allstars (John Priddy, owner)

The Billy Volek/Drew Bennett train turned into a big fat rotten pumpkin, as the dynamic duo combined for a grand total of 4.2 points instead of the 75+ they had been providing in the previous weeks of the playoffs. This collapse, coupled with the explosion of Tony Gonzalez, propelled the "Comeback kid" UNSUNG HEROES, to the First Burgundy & Gold Fantasy Football Championship, as they beat Calley's Allstars with a score of 169.4 to 109.7!

The UNSUNG HEROES came back from a 1 - 6 start to make the playoffs as a Wild Card, and then beat the two teams with the best records in the league ~ Game Over and Primetime ~ to get to the championship game! So their victory is well deserved!

Congratulations to John Domin, and props to all others who played this year. I anticipate having a few spots open this year, so if any of you have been following the action and think you might like to throw your hat in the ring next year, let me know at Skinsfan430@verizon.net

You can follow the season here.
Check out the creative Team logos, too!
