A Familiar Result . . . but Hope for the Future!

Our Redskins fell to 3-7 with a loss at Philadephia, but newly-installed starting QB Patrick Ramsey showed poise and promise in the loss. His stats don't really show it that much, but we were in this game for much of the afternoon. One series of plays in the third quarter sealed our fate after we had 1st and goal and then proceeded to rip off 5 straight mistakes, none of which were Ramsey's fault. After that series, our offese never really mounted a consistent threat, and the defense broke down a bit, giving up two late touchdowns. I, for one, am looking forward to someone knocking Todd Pinkston's teeth in . . . Philly players seem to have been infected by T.O.'s particular illness . . . a TOTAL LACK OF CLASS.

This week brings another tough challenge as our Redskins travel to Pittsburgh to play the league's best team ~ the Steelers. Rookie QB Ben Rothlisberger has this team clicking on all cylinders, and will pose a very large challenge to getting the Redskins back on the winning track.

BURGUNDY & GOLD FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE ~ UPDATE ~ WEEK 11

Unsung Heroes (John Domin, owner) continued their end-of-the-season charge and are now in the playoff picture after taking down Hellfish (Matt Goldie, owner) with a strong game from Ruben Droughns.

K.D.I. (Chad Costa/Scott Howerton, owners) stayed in the hunt (barely) with a big contribution from the Bucs' defense as they beat Jerry's 421 (Mary Priddy, owner) to put Jerry's 421 in a precarious position going into the last two weeks of the regular season.

Game Over (Danny Zegan, owner) got a huge performance from Trent Green to down Calley's Allstars (John Priddy, owner).

TDsnDC (Carl Murphy, owner) missed out on a chance to pull away from Calley's Allstars in the Burgundy Division by losing to Primetime (Rodney Twyman, owner), who rode the Peyton Train with assistance from the Steelers D.

Highest Scoring Game of the Week: The Redskins (Linda Domin, owner) crushed 70-Chip (Kenn Jackson, owner) for the high score of the week with Donovan McNabb coming up big!

Standings:

Burgundy Conference Gold Conference
TDsnDC . . . . . . . 6-5 Game Over. . . . . . . 9-2
Calley's Allstars. . . 6-5 Primetime . . . . . . . 8-3
