Treats . . . No Tricks to Start the Second Half!

The second half of our season starts this Sunday at FedEx Field as the resurgent Green Bay Packers come calling on Coach Gibbs and the Redskins. In the previous tenure of Coach Gibbs, we could always rely on third-quarter adjustments -- so much so, in fact, that I used to always want the defense to have the ball first so we would get the ball first in the third quarter. I have faith that Coach Gibbs and his staff will make the necessary adjustments to take advantage of the talent they are putting on the field. I know that Coach Gibbs will not allow his offense to flounder at the bottom of the NFL for too long!

The Packers are riding high after their destruction of the Cowboys this past Sunday (was that totally sweet or what), but they are coming to town with a quarterback that has to be distracted as Brett Favre's wife was diagnosed with breast cancer this week. Our prayers go out to her. However, perhaps the Pack's high-powered offense will hit a few speed bumps in the form of our #1 Ranked Defense and give Brett a bad day. The Wild Card race is wide open in the NFC, but the winning has to start soon. The game will not be televised locally, so come on out to Austin Avenue and cheer on our Redskins!

Redskins Trivia!
Five questions every game day. No cost to play. Win a great Redskins collectible!
(Remember: "Tom Tupa" is always an acceptable default answer!)

TDsnDC (Carl Murphy, owner) overcame a finally ordinary game from Daunte Culpepper with a great Monday Night showing from Rudi Johnson to down 70-Chip (Kenn Jackson, owner) 110.1 to 102.5.

The Redskins (Linda Domin, owner) rode another huge game from Donovan McNabb to top Unsung Heroes (John Domin, owner) 152.3 to 115.9.

Even without a defense because of a bye, Primetime (Rodney Twyman, owner) was able to put forth a balanced attack from Peyton Manning, Tiki Barber, and Darrell Jackson to top K.D.I. (Scott Howerton/Chad Costa, owners) 139.9 to 118.1. K.D.I. left two players on their bench -- Jeff Garcia and Roy Williams -- that would have swung this game the other way.

High Score of the Week: Game Over (Danny Zegan, owner) enjoyed the first half explosion of Priest Holmes to beat Hellfish (Matt Goldie, owner) -- who had solid contributions from everyone on his roster except Torry Holt --155.6 to 102.4.

"Butt-Whipping of the Week": Jerry's 421 (Mary Priddy, owner) crushed a Randy Moss-less Calley's Allstars (John Priddy, owner) 102.5 to 56.4, ending Calley's Allstars two-game win streak.

PLEASE NOTE: The women owners RULED this week!
