Halloween Came Early at the Meadowlands House of Horrors!

Our Redskins tuned up for Cowboys Week with a thoroughly horrible display of carelessness, giving the ball away 7 … yes SEVEN times! The defense was stellar, though, holding the Giants to only 13 offensive points, even though they got no help from the offense. Arrington had a good attitude, though, when he said after the game, "The only thing I would say is we're going to hold the slack; we're going to hold the fort down until they catch up. Just don't let [the opposing defense] put any points on the board. That's all we ask; other than that, we're good. We win as a team, and we lose as a team." Brunell is listed as "Day-to-Day" with a strained hamstring, but smart money says Ramsey will get his first start as a Joe Gibbs quarterback this week against the hated Cowboys. However, it could be a short leash if he continues his generosity to the opposing teams with the ball.

The Cowboys come to FedEx Field on Monday Night after squeaking out a win over the Cleveland Browns, with some injury problems of their own at running back and offensive line. Cowboys Coach Parcells has had success in the past against Coach Gibbs, but that can change this week! On paper, we should win this game handily. Portis should run well as they should have to keep Roy Williams back to provide support for their suspect corners. Our aerial attack should find success as second-year man Terrence Newman is their only "quality" corner. If they stay away from him, Coles and Gardner can have big games. Chris Cooley is also emerging more each week as a pass-catching threat, so we have plenty of weapons at our disposal.

We need this win for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is our own sanity here in Big D! .............John Priddy

Redskins Trivia!
Five questions every game day. No cost to play. Win a great Redskins collectible!

The Injury Bug bites again:
~Unsung Heroes (John Domin, owner) lost Deuce McCallister three plays into the game, and lost to Calley's Allstars (John Priddy, owner).
~70-Chip (Kenn Jackson, owner) played without Stephen Davis, and lost to Jerry's 421 (Mary Priddy, owner) players Joey Harrington and Edgerrin James.

Top of the Heap:
~Jerry's 421 (Mary Priddy, owner) remains unbeaten and at the top of the Gold Division.
~Game Over (Danny Zegan, owner) also remains unbeaten, and is force-feeding Geritol to the ageless wonder Curtis Martin as he provided tons of points in the win over Primetime (Rodney Twyman, owner).

This Week's "OOPS Award"
TDsnDC (Carl Murphy, owner) left Daunte Culpepper (28.3 pts.), DeShaun Foster (28.4 pts.) and the Seattle Defense (25.5 pts.) on the bench in his loss to Hellfish (Matt Goldie, owner), who was able to endure despite suffering through Clinton Portis' fumbles.

Game of the Week:
K.D.I. (Chad Costa/Scott Howerton, owners) built up an almost 50 point lead over the Redskins (Linda Domin, owner), but then had to sweat out the Monday night game. The Redskins STORMED back with Donovan McNabb and Brian Westbrook, but ran out of time as the Eagles played ball control with the lead late in the game ~~ K.D.I. won by 9/10 of a point (can you believe it -- less than ONE POINT!) to take the victory and the Week 2 high point crown!
