The First Loss I Have Ever Felt Good About!

The failed experiment that was Mark Brunell can finally be put in our rear view mirror. After putting up another stellar performance of a QB rating of 0.0 in the first quarter, on the way to a 17-0 deficit by our Redskins, Brunell was benched in favor of Patrick Ramsey. Patrick didn't set the world on fire, but he did throw a touchdown pass to Chris Cooley and at least gave the Bengals' defense something to think about other than stopping Clinton Portis. The game ended with Ramsey driving the team down the field for an attempt at the tying touchdown. We lost the game, which drops the Redskins to 3-6, but the fact that Ramsey was in the battle gives us hope that we can finally start getting our real Quarterback ready to play each week by working with the first teamers in practice.

A tough matchup awaits Patrick and our Skins this week as we make the first of two consecutive trips to Pennsylvania to face the Philadelphia Eagles. The Eagles are fresh off their destruction of the Cowboys on Monday night (wasn't that as sweet as PIE!!!??), but it will be a much more competitive game with Ramsey in there instead of Brunell. So come on out and let's watch our REAL team! .............................John Priddy

BURGUNDY & GOLD FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUE ~ UPDATE ~ WEEK 10

The "Monday Night Massacre" was a big player in the outcome of the games this week . . .

Calley's Allstars (John Priddy, owner) got a huge game from Jason Witten to top K.D.I. (Scott Howerton /Chad Costa, owners) in a key Burgundy Conference matchup.

Primetime (Rodney Twyman, owner) played his broken Peyton Manning record again as he defeated Hellfish (Matt Goldie, owner).

Game Over (Danny Zegan, owner) used Terrell Owens' big game to crush Jerry's 421 (Mary Priddy,) in an important Gold Conference battle.

Unsung Heroes (John Domin, owner) continued their late-season surge by beating 70-Chip (Kenn Jackson, owner) who can't seem to stop their now 7-game slide.

Highest Scoring Game of the Week: TDsnDC (Carl Murphy, owner) used the Culpepper-to-Burleson Express to down the Redskins (Linda Domin, owner), even though the Redskins were the beneficiary of Donovan McNabb's mutilation of the Cowboys!

Standings:

Burgundy Conference Gold Conference
TDsnDC . . . . . . . 6-4 Game Over. . . . . . . 8-2
Calley's Allstars. . . 6-4 Jerry's 421 . . . . . . . 7-3
Redskins . . . . . . . 4-6 Primetime . . . . . . . 6-4
K.D.I. . . . . . . . . . .4-6 Unsung Heroes . . . . 4-6
Hellfish. . . . . . . . . 2-8 70-Chip . . . . . . . . . . 3-7

The top three teams in each conference after week 13 will make the Playoffs.
