LAST WEEK'S CROWD WAS AGAIN AWESOME!!!

WE HAVE THE RIGHT TOOL FOR THE JOB!

As this remarkable 2012 regular season comes to a close, the individual accolades are coming in for the Washington Redskins with 5 Pro Bowl invites coming down Wednesday night:   Robert Griffin III; Trent Williams; and Lorenzo Alexander lead the charge as they were named Starters, along with Alternates Alfred Morris (who should be a starter) and London Fletcher.  Rookie of the Year is still to come, and we have two outstanding applicants for that role in Griffin and Morris.

But there is still business to attend to on the field.  The "Broom" figured nicely in that business this past Sunday as our Redskins completed the 2012 Sweep of the hapless Eagles at the Linc in Philly.  This one was a bit closer than I would have liked, but with RGIII in his first game back since that scary knee sprain, his mobility was limited.  We still powered through and kept our winning streak alive coming to the last regular season game this Sunday Night.

Thanks to the most stupid of tie breakers, the game this weekend actually means something.  I have always thought Conference Record was the #2 tie breaker, but record against common opponents is instead, soooooo this Sunday Night is for the NFC Eastern Division Championship.  But we have exactly the tool we will need to win this game . . . a Broom!  We beat these guys on their field - - on the biggest regular season stage there is, back on a Thursday afternoon in November - - and their defense is even more beat up now.  However, there IS Dez Bryant to contend with . . . who, incidentally, was snubbed by the Pro Bowl voters (ha ha), but he has been on a tear the past couple of weeks.  Jason Witten also needs to be blanketed and cannot be allowed to find holes in our zone.  Haslett knows what this game means to his future employment opportunities, and hopefully will tighten the coverage up some.

RGIII’s knee will have had another week’s worth of healing, so mobility will be enhanced over last week.  But in the end it will be our running game and Alfred Morris that bring us to Victory and sends the hated Cowboys to their tee times for the Winter!
